Uzbekistan is a vital mineral resource hub in Central Asia, boasting exceptional mineral reserves. It ranks tenth globally in gold production and is rich in strategic minerals such as uranium, copper, tungsten, and molybdenum, giving it a significant advantage in resource endowment.
In recent years, Uzbekistan has continuously improved its top-level mining system, promulgated a new version of the "Underground Resources Law," launched 76 key cooperation projects for rare metals, planned a special investment of US$2.6 billion in the mining industry, continuously optimized the business and investment environment in the mining sector, vigorously promoted the construction of green mining, and focused on building a high-value-added mineral industry chain. It has grown into an important base for the development of key global mineral resources.
The mining industries of China and Uzbekistan are highly complementary, and the foundation for cooperation is solid. China possesses mature advantages in intelligent mining equipment, green mining technologies, and full-chain investment and financing services, which highly align with Uzbekistan's abundant mineral reserves and huge development and construction needs.
Currently, China and Uzbekistan have achieved numerous results in areas such as intelligent mining equipment export, mineral processing, and joint project development, demonstrating significant cooperation effectiveness and becoming a high-quality model of international production capacity cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. There is still enormous potential for further development and expansion in the future.
As an important bridge connecting China and Uzbekistan, the Henan Chamber of Commerce in Uzbekistan fully leverages its resource integration advantages to deeply cultivate the field of Sino-Uzbek mining cooperation. It not only focuses on building a Sino-Uzbek mining supply chain platform but also provides comprehensive matching services, localized consulting, and risk prevention support for Henan mining enterprises "going global," helping them accurately connect with Uzbekistan's mineral resources and cooperation opportunities. In the future, the Henan Chamber of Commerce in Uzbekistan will continue to build a pragmatic cooperation platform, promote in-depth cooperation between Chinese and Uzbek mining enterprises in technology, projects, and capital, further expand cooperation space, jointly cultivate the Central Asian mineral market, and write a new chapter of win-win development in the mining industry between China and Uzbekistan.
